Robert came by and he and I and Sofie rode from the house over to Mars Court and then down Turkey Trot. We came back up David Canyon and stopped briefly at the pond. Four little kids and a couple of adults were hiking out there and they also stopped by the pond. It's nice to see little kids getting out to enjoy the forest.

We went up the road to the ridge and then made our way to the continuation of Turkey Trot. We took that to the air force gate and then up the road to the ridge road. From there we went to Canjun Pine and then back up to the trailhead.

The day was pleasantly warm with temps in the upper 50s to low 60s. The sky was completely cloudy which is very unusual for New Mexico. It is enjoyable when it only happens once in a while. There were a few occasional gusts of wind but the really ferocious winds didn't start until just as we were finishing up the ride.

We took lots of breaks throughout the ride so that both Sofie and Robert wouldn't suffer too much. I think that everyone enjoyed being out on the trail.
