I left the house around 9:30 a.m. and headed down the mountain. It was a cool 44 degrees when I headed out but I knew that it would warm up quickly as I descended and the sun rose, so I was wearing shorts. It felt warm because the sun was out, but cool in the shady spots, where it wasn't.
I rode down 337 to the sheriff's station and then turned around and rode back up. I'm going to try and do this ride fairly often so that I can measure any progress that I might be making while I train. Any improvement is good improvement. I've got a long way to go.....
On the way out there was a dog loose on Peacock. I decided that on the way back I would return home on Big Dipper and avoid any chance of running into him again.
I put out a lot of effort on this ride and I felt good when it was finished.
