Sofie and I left the house at 3:00 in the afternoon and headed for Mars Court. It was a cloudy, windy day but fairly warm with temps in the mid 50s. I was wearing shorts but I also had on my windbreaker. I offered Sofie some water at the trailhead but she wasn't interested.
We continued our ride down Wild Turkey and then over to Cajun Pine and then to Southern Crossing. We took a break in the oak forest and Sofie drank some water this time. We rode to the highway and then turned around and rode back. I was testing my bike on some rocky sections of trail to see how it handled things. The bike sort of plows through everything. I like it!
When we got back to the road we turned right and went down to David Canyon and then over to the pond where we took another break. Here's a picture of the pond. I know, it's not much, but it's all we've got.
After a few minutes we headed up Wild Turkey to get back to Mars Court. The climb up the lower half of Wild Turkey was very challenging. It's doable but it takes a lot of effort.
