Sofie and I left the around 1:00 in the afternoon. It was partly cloudy and a bit cool out, with temps in the upper 50s and breezy. I was wearing my bike shorts and counting on it warming up. It didn't take long and I was feeling very warmed up. I haven't been able to exercise in any way for the last three weeks due to shortness of breath. I think that I had a touch of pneumonia. I'm finally starting to feel over it so it's time to get back on the wheels.
I offered Sofie some water at the trailhead but she wasn't interested in any until our next stop which was at the beginning of the road up to the west ridge of David Canyon. We rested for a few minutes and then continued up to the ridge and then over to West Boundary trail. Sofie chased away three deer that were back there who were just minding their own business.
We eventually came out to 106 which we took a ways to the north before turning around and heading back. We had one more water break before heading for home.
I struggled on this ride but it sure felt good to get out.
