Debbie took Sofie to town so I decided to go for a bike ride. Temps were in the low 90s which is too hot to be taking the dog out into the forest. Since she wasn't home I didn't have to hurt her feelings by leaving her behind.
I rode over to Mars Court and then took the road to the end of 106. There's a trail there now, even though there's not supposed to be, but I didn't take it. Instead, I turned around and went up Drop In and then West Ridge, More Turkey, and then Turkey Trot. I went backwards from the way that I usually go. I think there are more steep sections in that direction because it seemed like I was doing more walking than usual. It could also be that I'm out of shape because I haven't been riding very much.
Having wider handlebars on the Scalpel finally came around to bite me. A tree grabbed the end of my bar and yanked me down to the ground. I twisted my leg a little bit, but it's not serious.
I left the house with my bicycle app running but when I reached mile one and I didn't hear any heart rate data, I realized that I had attached the wrong sensor to my chest strap.
I missed not having Sofie with me, but on the bright side -- I didn't have to stop for any water breaks.
