A bike ride two days in a row at Mars Court. That hasn't happened in a long time. I felt a lot better on this ride than I did on yesterday's ride. I can breathe!
After stopping at the trailhead for a drink of water Sofie and I went down Wild Turkey to Cajun Pine and then went to the big intersection where we took a second water break. On the way there I managed to clear the rocky section which can be a challenge for me. The big 29" tires on my Cannondale ate up that part of the trail which gave me a bit of a confidence boost. This was the downhill direction. We'll have to see what happens when I try it in the uphill direction.
After our break we went up 106 and took another break where it tops out at the viewpoint. Very nice. From there we went back on 530 and then took David Canyon to Wild Turkey and back to the trailhead. When we got to David Canyon we saw a big hawk fly up from the ground. It might have been a goshawk because it was really big.
This ride was mixed sun and clouds but it was warmer than yesterday with temps in the 60s. I didn't need leg warmers.
