Sofie and I went out for another afternoon ride at Mars Court. It was supposed to rain or snow a couple of days ago but it didn't happen and trail conditions are close to being completely dry. Soon, we will be worrying about fire danger. In the meantime, Sofie and I will try to hit the trails while the riding is good.
After a water break at the trailhead we headed down Wild Turkey and over on Cajun Pine to the road and then down to David Canyon. Just as we started heading south on the David Canyon there was a hiker with a couple of big dogs. One of the dogs had the lower jaw of a deer in his mouth and you could tell that the dog was extremely proud of his find. He was exuding happiness. It was very cute.
We continued up the road to the ridge and then took another water break at the start of More Turkey. After a couple minutes we rode on More Turkey to Turkey Trot and then back down into David Canyon.
One last water break and then we took Turkey Trot back up to the trailhead and back to the house.
It was a nice day for a ride. Partly cloudy with temps in the 50s.
