I went out around 8:30 in the morning with Don, for a road ride, and we headed out toward Oak Flats. I hadn't ridden in a week, because I've been fighting off a cold, and I spent a couple of days in Livermore, in Northern California.

Don punished me again, even giving me a head start up south 337, and still catching and passing me, before we made it to Oak Flat. From there we went east on Raven, and rode to the future new home of Cool Dust. Yep. We made an offer on a manufactured home, in the thick of the forest, above 7500 feet, and the sellers accepted the offer. Now we just have to go through all of the paperwork, and cough up the money, and it's ours. I'll be living right in the heart of prime, mountain bike territory. The place is vacant, so we looked in the windows, and checked out the property. Sweet!

It was a partly cloudy day, but fairly warm, with temps in the 50s, even early in the morning. I had my shorts on, and thick socks, and I never got cold, even during the downhill.

There were some pretty strong winds as we headed back through the canyon, and Don took off up Tramway on his own. I don't want to hold him back. I've got some work to do before I'll be able to hang with him. If I can only get rid of this cold.
