I headed out in the afternoon, for a Christmas Day ride. I was going to ride down Tramway to the casino, but when I got to the County Line Restaurant, there was a very fierce wind blowing up the road, and it looked like it was snowing in the distance. It was quite cold, and I forgot to bring a hat, so I decided to stay closer to home.
I made a right turn, and climbed up to the Tram, and then explored all of the side streets on the north side of the road. I made the first loop at Sandia Heights Rd., counterclockwise, and then clockwise. From there I went down to Juniper Hill, and did all of those side streets counterclockwise, and then clockwise, making sure that I did every single dead end, twice. It snowed on me a little bit, but not for long. I could tell that it was snowing over town pretty hard, but it mostly stayed away from the foothills.
I crossed over to the south side of the street, and continued riding up every single side street. I ended up looping all the way aroung to Tramway Lane, and then I headed back to the house. My hands were completely frozen, and I couldn't stay out for one more minute.
I worked pretty hard on this ride, doing lots of short climbs, with a good amount of effort.
Near the end of the ride, I saw a very large flock of quail. There must have been at least fifty birds.
